Under the direct responsibility of the Plant Manager and functionally attached to the Segment Financial Controller, the Financial Controller is responsible for the sound financial management of the site and its economic performance. The Financial Controller ensures compliance with procedures, the application of group accounting/tax standards and the development of plant management tools.
As a member of the plant’s staff, she/he brings an informed perspective to her/his business partners on all economic issues. She/he is force of proposal in the construction of the roadmap of the site which she/he declines into financial strategy. As a good communicator, she/he is a driving force in the economic and financial acculturation of the site.
They will manage accountant and have access to a shared resource for AP and AR. The Financial Controller manages cross-functional projects and participates in the development of the team.
Specific Responsibilities Include:

Accounting: guarantees the veracity of the information produced, which is established within the deadlines. She/he is the privileged interlocutor of the auditors
Taxation: with the help of the accountant and support services, the financial controller controls the various statements and declarations (VAT, bundle, various taxes)
Group reporting: the financial controller ensures reports (reporting, KPI) are provided on time to the group,
Controlling: Manages and analyzes the P&L and Balance Sheet monthly with the team while improving and automating management reports
Forecast: with the help of his/her team, the financial controller builds the budget which he/she changes throughout the year
Cash: he/she makes accurate cash flow forecasts and coordinates cash optimization initiatives (AR, AP, Inventory)
Audit: privileged contact of the site for any compliance related matters, the financial controller ensures the correct application of the group procedures, that the self-audits are carried out on time and according to the rules. She/he ensures corrective actions are taken on time.
Investments: with the production manager, he/she coordinates the investment committees and seeks sources of funding
Stakeholder & Team Management The financial controller guides his/her team in achieving their objectives and increasing their skills
Purchasing and Accounts Payable: she/he ensures the correct level of raw material inventory and the resolution of suppliers’ disputes on time.

Qualifications
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Education:
A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
Degree in finance or business-related topic preferred but not essential.
Experience and Background:
Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Finance.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively lead a team of managerial and professional people and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all organizational levels.
Demonstrable experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within a heavy manufacturing environment.
An impressive track record of managing finance operations in settings with revenues of £100m or above.
Proficient in various financial software and tools, complemented by strong analytical skills.
Effective communicator, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
A visionary leader with the capability to drive strategic financial initiatives while managing daily operations.
Effective influencer within the team, is able to work in the matrix organization to affect the right business outcomes.
