Summary:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Introduction to support our New Product Introduction organization. If you would like to work in a dynamic environment and possess the motivation to incorporate new ideas into practice, this may be the opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement plans that are in line with the business strategy to further our world class technology portfolio; provide operational engineering support to develop technologies and processes which support the growth curve and cost reduction targets.
  • Assist with problem solving during manufacturing related investigations. Own RCCA (root cause corrective action) for corrective action and mistake-proofing non-conformances in the part families; implement and monitor process certification and report on the health of the forge cell as it relates to our customers’ quality requirements.
  • Develop process health through strategies with the use of PFMEA, process capability analysis, and PPAP to drive world class innovations supporting quality, throughput, and metallurgical requirements; author and maintain clear, effective work instructions and standard work; perform research and development activities to support other functional areas regarding technical and or material/metallurgical/manufacturing issues related to quality, operations, and processes; support operational excellence using statistical analysis for process control and certification.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures; maintain close liaison with operational departments, suppliers and/or customers to analyze and resolve issues relating to coatings, lasers, flow test, component inspection and process development.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or project/program management environment or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or project/program management environment or a Master's Degree and minimum 1 year experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, qualty or project/program management environment
    • In lieu of a degree 6 or more years’ experience in a engineering manufacturing environment will be considered.
    • Experienced in first article inspection
    • Proficient with CAD tools and create engineering blueprints using ASME Y14.5
    • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles; experience with Kaizen events or experience with a continuous improvement program (ACE, 6S, etc.)
    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Statistical Process Control, DMAIC, Process Certification, UPPAP, Six Sigma
    • Compressor blades and vanes experience
    • Project management experience

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

    The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
