Purpose of the position

Within the CAMO department, you will be active as a Cabin Project Manager.

  • You will be responsible for the project management of a large cabin engineering project related to the renewal of Brussels Airlines A330 longhaul cabin.
  • You will develop and maintain a project plan in accordance with the business case.
  • You are responsible to deliver the project on time and within the assigned budget.
  • You will motivate your team and coordinate the project between the different stakeholders.
  • You will report on regular basis the project status to higher management.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • You will be involved during scope definition of the A330 longhaul cabin together with product and marketing.
  • You will execute the project management of the A330 longhaul cabin renewal.
  • You will set up a project planning and play a lead role in steering the project for planning, execution and progress monitoring.
  • You will set up a financial follow-up method to monitor the defined project budget.
  • You will work with the dedicated A330 longhaul Cabin Project engineer and will motivate the project engineer during the project from A to Z.
  • You will be the main contact for other Brussels Airlines departments (marketing, product, purchase, logistics, …) related to the project.
  • You will be in contact with aircraft manufacturer, STC providers, OEM’s, MRO’s & BCAA.
  • Analysis and implementation of STC and P21 modification packages, discuss with STC and P21 holders for cost effective solutions.
  • You will follow-up and monitor the implementation of the project during heavy maintenance checks on site.
  • Review implementation issues and propose solutions for quick and cost efficient corrective actions to not endanger the project budget and leadtime.
  • You ensure that the changed aircraft configuration is correctly processed to allow a flowless usage of the cabin at maintenance and engineering department during the operations.
  • You will be responsible for the implementation of the continued airworthiness management tasks related to your project.
  • You will be part of the dedicated project team on Brussels Airlines level which is reporting on regular base to different levels including management board.

Your profile

  • Minimum master degree in Aeronautics engineering or equivalent by experience
  • You have proven project management experience in large projects
  • You are highly interested in aviation
  • You have excellent leadership experience
  • You can manage problems and projects in an orderly manner
  • You are strong in analysing problems and critical in studies
  • You work accurate and thorough, are well-organized and like to create order and structure
  • You can work under stress and show the necessary flexibility
  • You can perform administrative work & follow up in a structured way
  • You have good communication skills in English (Dutch and French is an advantage)
  • You have knowledge of MS office (Knowledge of MRO software AMOS is a benefit)
  • You are pro-active and have open attitude
  • You are a team player
  • You are willing to travel abroad
