Material Coordinators

Job Duties

• Manage and control all stock requests using PROMRO.
• Take ownership of the shortage sheet and ensure that all requests are actioned within the required time limits laid down by STS procedures policies or direction.
• Check stock levels and organise stock transfers between STS locations when required to do so.
• Mark items for purchase when required to do so.
• Liaise with procurement to ensure that all purchase requests are conducted within agreed time frames.
• Ensure that the shortage sheet always has the most up to date information.
• Provide detailed handover briefs between shifts.
• Add customer information relating to stock to the shortage sheet in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide Supply Chain reporting when required to do so.
• Drive stock cost saving measure at all times when conducting stock management in line with KPIs.
• Liaise with other parts of STS when asked or required to do so regarding stock matters.
• Stand in for STS Material Coordinators at other sites when required.
• Meet with the customer on a regular basis as required.
• Represent STS to the highest standard at all times.
• Record all customer stock requirements and ensure the shortage sheet is an accurate reflection of these.
• Liaise with the customer outside of meeting to ensure an accurate information flow is always maintained.
• Provide detailed hand over briefs on all customer supply chain.
• Conduct stock picking activities when required to do so.
• Conduct return to stock activities when required to do so.
• Conduct general logistic duties when required to do so.
• Provide logistic support to base and line operations when required to do so.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Significant demonstrable experience of logistic operations
• UK Full driving licence
• A good understanding of process development within the logistic sector
• A good understanding of calibration management principles and processes
• Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment
• Leadership skills and ability to take the initiative and manage workload.
• Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles.
• Proven experience of delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers both personally and through a team
• Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A very good understanding and experience in using PROMRO.
• High level of verbal communication skills.
