Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Partner with the Chief DEI Officer on executing initiatives and strategies
- Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to DEI performance
- Collaborate with Chief DEI Officer and Employee Resource Group Leaders on program and event management
- Conduct external research and benchmarking to understand DEI trends in the industry and opportunities for improvement
- Create and develop training resources for employees across all levels on topics such as Unconscious Bias, Inclusion, and Cultural Sensitivity
- Build a social media campaign showcase DEI strategy and brand externally
- Network and build relationships with key stakeholders across the Lufthansa Group to promote our DEI strategy and share updates through presentations
- All other duties as assigned or required
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- Studies in Human Resources, DE&I, Psychology, Business Administration, Social Sciences or other related studies at a university in the U.S.
- 2 semesters completed before the start of the internship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team player and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and self-organization
- Ability to handle different projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
- Fluent in English
- Must possess work authorization in the U.S.
- Time Commitment: 20-40 hours/week. Hours and work dates are flexible and may be set according to an intern’s class/work schedule
