The role
You will play a key part in ensuring we maintain our high achieving safety culture as we enter a substantial period of transformation. You will be working alongside talented and passionate colleagues with the chance to play a key role in shaping the future of fire safety through this transformation process. Your key responsibilities include:
Provide an effective fire safety service to all colleagues and passengers.
Understanding and applying UK & EU H&S/Fire legislation, approved codes and standards.
Safety Management System.
Operating within approved budgets.
Influence and deliver fire safety decisions, working with senior leaders at the airport.
Acting as the subject matter expert for fire safety.
What will make you successful in the role?
In order to be successful in this position, you will possess the following:
BSc/BA or Diploma in Fire Safety Management or similar qualification.
Membership of the IFE.
Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Practical knowledge and application of fire risk assessments to PAS 79.
Established investigation techniques.
Self motivation and strong communication skills.
