Job Description

JSG, a premier Staffing Firm is recruiting for a
Sr. Investment & Capital Accountant
Location: St. Petersburg, FL or West Palm Beach, FL
**Hybrid Model – 3 days in office

REQ:

3-5 yrs Statutory and/or GAAP accounting standards
Personal or Commercial Lines insurance experience
Investment Accounting, Schedule D’s
System Experience: Clearwater preferred

Responsibilities:

Manage investment and insurance accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulator
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedure
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of experience in investment and insurance accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software?
