What You’ll Be Doing

• Management of the engineering team and team leaders though the design delivery phase
• Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for realising and delivering the engineering design
• Developing and maintaining the competency and skills of the teams engineering personnel
• Providing leadership and oversight to the production of the design; reviewing technical reports, requirements development and production of engineering artefacts
• Liaising with internal, external customers, and other departments to foster collaborative working relationships and ensure requirements are being understood and met
• Engaging with suppliers and managing engineering requirements, deliverables, and ultimately acceptance of future systems, sub-systems and equipment
  
  

Your Skills And Experiences

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Information Engineering
• Experience of architecting electronic systems; digital data networks, voice communications
• Management experience of team leaders and knowledge of applying safety and security standards to engineering products
• Proven track record in one of the following fields: communications, networked systems, or electronic equipment design
• In-depth knowledge of one of the following: design and deployment of complex network solutions, voice architectures, network design, wireless solutions, or video surveillance

The Submarines Solutions Team

You will be helping to define and shape the design of the Royal Navy’s next generation attack class submarine and working to implement novel internal communications technology and concepts whilst collaborating with colleagues within the Integrated Combat Systems business, wider stakeholders, suppliers, and the Royal Navy.
