Job Title: Supply Chain Principal

Location: Portsmouth – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £44,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting and/or preparing outputs and deliverables and selecting suppliers in line with the departmental procedures and systems
• Supporting and/or negotiating all commercial, financial, quality and schedule elements of contracts and any authorised changes in line with departmental procedures
• Opportunity on merit to deputise the Supply Chain Manager and provide Line Managerial responsibilities for junior members of Supply Chain team
• Supporting a multimillion pound, competitive framework opportunity run by MOD
  
  

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

• Commercial and contractual acumen, exposure to this side
• Working knowledge of Purchase to Pay
• Pro-active and self-motivated working with limited supervision
• Influence on-time delivery, cost and quality through the successful actions of the Supply Chain
• Strong communicator, able to effectively influence

• Experience in chairing meetings and presenting

BAES System Warship Support Maritime Services provide Asset Management for MOD Naval products and services, where the Supply Chain are responsible for delivering supply chain strategies & plans, and the engagement and management of suppliers.
