Job Description Summary Advanced Lead Engineer will provide technical leadership while owning hardware on GE90/GP FAN and HPC module. In this role, you will be responsible to maintain part for the life cycle of the engine including aspects on solving new make issues, field issue resolution, Root Cause Investigation, QEM, Repair, and cost reduction. you will manage field issues, lead service’s contract profitability, and deliver solutions that meet business needs within functional area(s) of expertise Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

In this role, you will report to GE90/GP FAN and HPC LCE Sub-Section Manager, GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center. In addition, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering, MRO, supply chain, CEO and services organization with aviation

  • Lead and execute the design, analysis, test or integration of Fan and Booster structure hardware (Composites & metallic) for GE90/GP program using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Be the first point of contact from Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) on any query from sourcing/supplier/fleet/repair/customer
  • Execute & participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute programs and mentor other team members
  • Demonstrate clear thinking, strong technical articulation, manage handoffs between different organizations
  • Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and customer commitments.
  • Demonstrate collaborative work style and team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services)
  • Strong Design creativity and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with aviation engine FAN module
  • Background on composite analysis, design & manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience in component hardware ownership role
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Ability to effectively interact with the customer. Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
