We are seeking a Director of Commercial to join our team at dnata catering in Inwood, NY. As one of the world's largest air services providers, dnata ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the aviation industry across 127 airports. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tender processes from start to finish, including evaluating participation, overseeing costing, and pricing, and negotiating and finalizing catering agreements. You will also be the primary point of contact for customer communication during the tender process and will work closely with the VP Commercial, CEO, CFO, and operational key staff to meet company financial goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage tender processes from start to finish, including capturing in Salesforce.
  • Evaluate whether dnata Catering will participate in tender processes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee costing and pricing processes.
  • Communicate with customers during the tender process and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Review customer PNL with Pricing department and VP Commercial.
  • Present and finalize PNL with key stakeholders.
  • Submit offers to customers and run the approval process in Salesforce.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on tender development with customers and internal sources.
  • Organize customer visits and meal presentations, recording all necessary commercial changes.
  • Negotiate and finalize catering agreements in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain timelines during tender processes and handle time-sensitive customer commercial topics.
  • Act as the link between customers and executing facility/entity for all commercial affairs.
  • Collaborate closely with the purchasing department to keep pricing matrixes up to date.
  • Work closely with VP Commercial and CFO to achieve company financial margins and goals.
  • Ensure seamless communication flow between commercial and operation by working closely with account managers.

This salary range and is influenced by the level of experience. When calculating the base pay, we take into account various factors such as location, qualifications, training, and experience as part of the overall compensation package. $97,000 - $150,000.00Yr

EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in communications or related field from an accredited College, University or the international equivalent, preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, including conflict management and resolution, with a track record in customer service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in tender processes, pricing, and negotiation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

Work environment

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold/heat (weather), heights and loud noise (earplugs must be worn while on the Ramp)
