Job Summary:

  • Develop and deploy external vendors materials management strategy aligning with Columbus Forge (CF) operations requirements.
  • Responsible for inventory control at external vendors ensuring stock levels are maintained at an appropriate level and meet supplier minimal work-in-process (WIP).
  • 1st shift. 7:30 – 3:30p

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the CF (Columbus Forge) plant process and monitor demand forecast accuracy and stability to vendors and internal operations.
  • Drive improvements in supplier performance and support Supplier Management tool implementation.
  • Working with vendors on delivering a high level of OTIF (on time in full) product availability.
  • Assist in the deployment of effective Materials Planning strategy and planning policy in SAP transition.
  • Lead in the establishment of plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required.
  • Spearhead the development of the supplier capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
  • Oversee tracking of external and internal work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Monitor tracking and shipping process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of project management exp.
  • 2 years of customer interface exp.
  • Intermediate knowledge in excel.

Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
