Key Responsibilities

The Media & Training Designer will be responsible for both designing, creating and editing of visual storytelling and creative development of Airport Operations Learning curricula. The employee will play a pivotal role in crafting impactful visual content while leveraging both design and videography to enhance United’s brand and engage our audience across various platforms. The employee will be responsible for elevating our service culture at all touchpoints within the airport operations, improve training efficiency and consistency across all agent roles and locations, and reduce speed to market utilizing AI, applicable training approaches, etc. while ensuring the training fits the need, initiative, and agent persona. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality design and videography solutions.

Conceptualization and Execution

  • Create visually compelling designs for a range of training materials, digital assets, print collateral, presentations, and other content

Brand Adherence, Digital And Print Design

  • Ensure all design work aligns with brand guidelines and effectively communicates United’s identity and messaging
  • Develop digital assets and produce print collateral with a keen eye for detail and quality

Videography, Video Production, Post Production

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos that effectively convey the desired learning and narratives
  • Bring together visuals, sound, and narrative to craft engaging and informative video content
  • Edit and refine video content, incorporating visual effects, graphics, and sound elements to enhance the overall viewer experience

Multi-Media Collaboration

  • Work closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand learning objectives and effectively translate concepts into compelling visual designs and video content
  • Integrate graphic design and videography to create cohesive and impactful multimedia campaigns across various channels

Creative Input

  • Contribute to the development of fresh and innovative design and video concepts to elevate learning visual identity and storytelling
  • Ensure all visual content reflects and reinforces United’s image and message

Multitasking

  • Manage multiple design and video projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and communicating effectively with collaborators to ensure project success
  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovative editing techniques, and emerging technologies in videography and video editing, integrating new approaches to enhance visual storytelling and promotional content

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related work experience
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrable experience in graphic design and videography, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in both areas.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design and video editing software
  • Understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout as well as video storytelling and editing techniques
  • Experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production processes
  • Knowledge of digital platforms and design best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and explain design and video concepts effectively
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Travel up to 30%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
