ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER - Flight Operations

Role Introduction

Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Solution Lead / Application Manager

This role is responsible for contributing strategically and operationally to the achievement of Information Technology’s business objectives by delivering project management services across Cathay Pacific projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and co-ordinate projects to achieve business goals, and ensure smooth implementation of project and transition into BAU with customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct project activities with maximum efficiency.
• Adopt best practices, processes and methodologies of project management and ensure compliance with CPA standards.
• Prepare project and/or portfolio status reports and updates for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
• Assist and drive development of business case proposals or plans to determine time frame, resource and funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing projects.
• Track project key performance indicators (KPIs), progress and financials. Ensure timely achievement of critical milestones and key activities and provide timely escalation.
• Proactively manage risks and issues. Provide stakeholders with a clear understanding and facilitate mitigation actions and/or responses.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in project management / coordination role
• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience are essential.
• Proven experience in managing projects with ability to multitask.
• Knowledge in project management methodologies and agile approach.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
