Key Responsibilities

The Senior Designer – Media & Training position will be responsible for creating compelling visual assets that improve employee performance & solidify United’s Service Culture across various touchpoints. Responsible for elevating service culture at all touchpoints within the airport operations, improve training efficiency and consistency across all agent roles and locations, and reduce speed to market utilizing AI, applicable training approaches, etc. while ensuring the training fits the need, initiative, and agent persona. This position requires a strong portfolio of design work, a deep understanding of brand identity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality design solutions.

Visual Design

  • Create and execute visually appealing designs for a wide range of projects including while adhering to brand guidelines

Brand Adherence

  • Ensure all design work aligns with United’s brand standards and guidelines, maintaining consistency and integrity across all visual materials

Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and deliver designs that effectively communicate key messages and resonate with the target audience

Creative Conceptualization

  • Develop innovative and compelling design concepts that contribute to United’s overall brand strategy and visual identity

Digital Design

  • Build engaging and user-friendly digital assets for web, mobile, and social media platforms, working in collaboration with digital marketing teams to improve the airline's online presence

Print Production

  • Prepare design files for print production, ensuring accuracy and quality in the final output
  • Collaborate with vendors and printers to ensure successful execution of printed materials

Adherence to Guidelines

  • Uphold design best practices and technical specifications in all design work, staying ahead of industry trends and standards to ensure high-quality output

Design Project Management

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring flawless coordination, timely delivery, and effective communication with collaborators

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across various mediums, with a focus on brand identity, and digital design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design software
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to feedback and collaborate in a team environment
  • Travel up to 30%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
