Role Introduction

Reports To: Resource Planning & Project Manager

This role assists Resources Planning & Project Manager on the management of Inflight Service Delivery’s (ISD) IT portfolio. The role involves managing enhancement of exisitng operational systems (crew facing, inflight and service, roster, payroll calcuation, etc), conducting strategic research and analysis in order to make recommendations that improve the work-life balance of cabin crew, the customer experience of passengers, as well as the performance of back office functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • ISD IT Portfolio Management to ensure all requirements are captured and identify synergies across projects to minimise duplication of efforts.
  • Support systems owned by ISD, set requirements and logic on system enhancement and perform UAT.
  • Manage the enhancement logs of all operational systems, crew facing, inflight and service, payroll calculation, etc.
  • Support the business needs by ensuring all operational systems are able to perform the required functions and meet quality assurance
  • Prepare analytical study for different scenario running, and support enhancement work on roster pre-assignment, roster pairing, roster swapping systems
  • Review and fine-tune the setting on roster assignment and related lifestyle scheme
  • Support data integration from various sources to drive insights for business decision
  • Collaborate with other BUs for cross-Department projects/ new initiatives.
  • Identify process for improvement and lead digital projects to improve daily operations.
  • Manage the priority setting of all IT change requests and keep track on the progress/ dependencies of projects’ timeline.
  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end process from registration, business case development, high level business requirement collection/ Business Process Reengineering (BPR) evaluation, prioritisation, to monitoring and tracking.
  • Project consulting and prioritization. Monitor project progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Support ISD quality and safety outcomes including implementation and monitoring of safety and quality activities and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements, organisational standards and approved procedures.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, budgets, and status reports.
  • Ensure the integrity of Cathay Pacific cabin safety policies and procedures are maintained at all times by accurate record keeping

Requirements

  • University graduate.
  • At least 3- 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in airline industry.
  • Good understanding of all areas in Inflight Service Delivery.
  • Strong planning ability and organisation skill.
  • Strong analytical skills and good at interpreting figures.
  • Tech savvy and strong project management skills.
  • Good influencing skills and ability to promote collobration among stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering (BPR).
  • Good leadership, planning, communication and interpersonal skills.
