Tasks

You will lead a team within Lufthansa Airline Sales and be responsible for relationship management, identification of solutions for our customers and commercial success. This includes tasks such as:

  • Disciplinary management of a team
  • Analyzing the individual needs of companies/travel agencies, particularly with regard to quality and price, and developing strategic plans for individual key accounts
  • Conception, negotiation and implementation of contracts
  • Monitoring and discussing offers and contracts with companies/travel agencies
  • Being a contact person and escalation level for companies/travel agencies for current issues
  • Market analyses and development of measures
  • Advicing on airline distribution solutions and technologies as well as ways to promote environmentally conscious sustainability
  • Development/planning of marketing measures
  • Representing the company at industry and interest groups
  • Motivation and development of subordinate employees, design of the organization/processes

Requirements

If you have a strong hands-on mindset and already have experience with leadership as well as experience in sales, then you probably have everything we are looking for:

  • Degree in business administration or comparable
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in sales
  • Several years of management experience
  • Fluent English language skills (business fluent)
  • Very good analytical skills, abstract and conceptual thinking ability
  • High commercial success orientation in thought and action
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills and assertiveness
  • Ability and willingness to represent the company externally and internally
  • Strong political skills in dealing with committees and negotiating partners
  • High willingness to take on responsibility and make decisions
  • High level of intercultural competence
  • Ability to manage employees
  • High resilience
