About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the role entails the periodic processing & reporting of gross profit & purchasing income rebates.
The role is varied, as well as journal entry & data processing, will include balance sheet & statement reconciliations, involvement in interim & year-end audit & the non-food & drink purchase ordering system.
The role involves liaising closely with other finance teams such as Accounts Payable & Receivable, external stakeholders, SSP outsourcers, as well as with line managers & operational teams & includes year end audit tasks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perodic review & amend processing, identifying & adjusting the accounts with journal entry for error & accruals.
- Production of periodic reports, including but not limited to trended closing stock, theoretical to actual gross profit reports periodic & YTD.
- Administer the non food & drink purchase order system.
- Balance sheet reconciliation & clear down
- Assist with Starbucks & Greggs weekly sales uploads as well as weekly M&S payables processing and data collation.
- Purchasing & supplier income approval & billing, GIST supplier statement & invoice processing.
- Budget or forecast variance analysis.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience in a financial role or hold an accounting qualification.
- Attention to detail & reasonable Excel & data manipulation skills.
- Experience of working to tight deadlines.
- Accustomed to working with large amounts of data & cost centres.
