ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:  

As a Business Manager, you will collaborate closely with product portfolio leaders to define operating plans, track performance against targets, manage risk / privacy requirements and drive executive reporting. Leveraging your experience in managing and growing businesses, you will play a key role in elevating our thinking from tactical execution to strategic management, driving the organization towards long-term success. 

 

 WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Strategic Thinking: Lead efforts to transition operational thinking from tactical to strategic.  Decide how to organize to ensure we are driving the execution of our strategic plans, while meeting all corporate reporting/compliance requirements, efficiently.<span style="user-select: text;" data-ccp-props="{"469777462":[3240],"469777927":[0],"469777928":[1]}"> 
  • Operating Plan Definition: Collaborate with portfolio managers and other key stakeholders to define comprehensive portfolio operating plans aligned with strategic priorities. 
  • Performance Tracking: Develop and implement mechanisms for tracking performance against operating plans, including key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and targets. 
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to optimize operational processes and improve efficiency, driving initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. 
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare regular executive-level reports and presentations to communicate business performance, highlight key insights, and provide actionable recommendations for decision-making. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders, including senior executives, portfolio managers, and business partners, to align strategic priorities and drive consensus on operational plans and initiatives. 
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges to the execution of operating plans and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions. 

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience, spanning various roles in business operations, management consulting, and/or corporate line functions.   
  • Prior experience working for companies that provide technology or communications services, including communication service providers, hardware/software providers, systems integrators, and/or consulting/advisory firms. 
  • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a business or technical discipline. 
  • Ability to think strategically and align operational activities with overall business objectives. 
  • Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure they are driving strategic goals. 
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency. 
  • Proven capability to lead and exert influence over virtual teams in an international context, fostering collaboration and synergy across diverse geographical locations. 
  • Exceptional oral and written English communication skills. 
  •  Possess a keen eye for detail but is also able to interpret and summarize for an executive audience.
