About The Opportunity

We have exciting opportunities to join the Nuclear Power EC&I team that is based in Knutsford, Gloucester and Warrington helping our clients to deliver the UKs Net Zero targets.

We are looking for adaptable and organised Electrical Engineers and Control & Instrument Engineers at any stage of their careers to join the team.

We focus on providing support to the existing nuclear generation fleet, nuclear new build and future reactor designs, but we also support EC&I activities across the whole Jacobs business. During your career with us you will

  • Be part of the nuclear energy strategy in the UK to help achieve the net zero carbon goals
  • Build knowledge and experience in the EC&I discipline
  • Work across the project lifecycle from bid generation to delivery

When you join the team your role will include

  • A variety of work and clients – working with multiple clients in the Nuclear sector and beyond
  • Client exposure – interacting directly with key clients and their responsible engineers
  • Research – solving complex problems for existing and new nuclear stations
  • Design – developing engineering solutions to meet clients’ needs
  • Personal learning and development – With over 60 EC&I Engineers in our team, there is significant help and advice available to support knowledge transfer and career development.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Hold a relevant engineering Degree/HNC/Chartership in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills onto new problems, ideally from a design background
  • Be organised and able to work on multiple projects
  • Have a passion for solving engineering design problems using CAD software
  • Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance
