Key Responsibilities

The Principal, Co-Brand Performance & Growth will report and enhance the performance of the United Airlines Credit Card Portfolio. They will collaborate with internal teams to deeply understand business problems and determine how to best extract relevant insights and recommendations from United’s vast datasets. Using business intuition, project management skills, and a working knowledge of the portfolio, they will build queries for ad hoc analyses, support dashboards for ongoing efforts, and ensure leadership is informed of the metrics required to effectively run and grow the co-brand business.

  • Work between the business and analytics teams to provide accurate and insightful answers to business questions and translate data into actionable insights. Evaluate business requests with a deep understanding of the data environment for credit cards and leverage that understanding as a thought partner to enhance business requests.
  • Run multiple projects concurrently from inception to completion. Intake, plan, and implement projects while meeting deadlines and communicating with collaborators. Build actionable reports of all findings, communicate high quality results, and provide recommendations based on the data.
  • Collaborate between the Loyalty Data Analytics team, the Co-Brand Card team, and Chase teams to ensure co-brand credit card data is accurate and reporting is up to date.
  • Run ad-hoc SQL queries as necessary for analysis on a short timeline, with moderate to high complexity.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.

This position is a hybrid role, based in Chicago, IL. The hybrid schedule requires working in-person at Willis Tower 50% of the time.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, a quantitative field (statistics, analytics, information systems) or a related field of study
  • 4+ years’ experience in an analytical, business, financial services, or credit card program focused role
  • 2+ years’ project management experience
  • Ability to work with large data sets and summarize for senior leadership.
  • Strong collaborator and eager to support business growth.
  • Curious and strong attention to detail
  • Organization and Project Management Skills
  • Ability to understand both the data environment and the business lens and think critically about the best way to translate results.
  • Ability to refine process, make suggestions, and be a champion of process improvement.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree
  • 2+ years’ experience in financial services or credit card program management
  • 2+ years’ experience in a data environment with a solid foundation of SQL skills
  • Experience working in an airline loyalty program
  • Experience in card product research
