Short-Term Scheduling & Slots Manager
The Role
This position exists to deliver easyJet’s schedule & slots for the entire Network supporting the airline goals and priorities set by the Airline Management Board and the Scheduling Leadership Team.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will have ownership for optimising, delivering, and protecting easyJet’s industry leading slot portfolio from Slot Allocation right through to end of season cycle whilst ensuring these comply with slot regulations and IATA slot usage guidelines to protect core critical slots. You will be a key driver in the optimising of our slot process, which forms one of our key items of the Scheduling purpose.
You will be strongly focused on schedule performance in-season, including monitoring night jet movement usage, how the schedule delivers, ensuring that any trends are highlighted and mitigated in the short-term and communicated through to longer-term planning.
Fostering relationships of both internal and external customers to evaluate, support, adapt and implement solutions to enhance slot optimisation within Short-Term Scheduling, which allows easyJet to capitalise on near term commercial opportunities.
In addition, you will be for the lead a team, with direct line management responsibility for at least 2 FTE, with focus on driving performance and progression.
How You Will Do It
You will have either airline industry experience, leading and developing teams or an understanding of Network, Operations and Scheduling in a commercial business. It will be advantageous to have knowledge of IATA airport codes and SSIM chapter 6, relevant to the request and maintenance of airport take-off and landing slots at level 2 and 3 airports and important regulations, or you will be able to demonstrate capabilities that will allow you to develop this knowledge efficiently.
With a commercial mind set and ability to negotiate you will manage operational and commercial trade-offs and make decisions on the design and deliverability of easyJet schedules and slots.
You will be able to demonstrate capabilities to carry out various in-depth analysis, using an array of tools, which include Microsoft Excel & Tableau. Prior experience of using scheduling systems would be beneficial.
There may be a need for overseas travel and some flexibility with working hours based on business requirements.
