Sr Technical Project Engineer, M&P

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage projects including process development, supplier development and material qualification test programs
  • Support the advancement of materials and processes for the Midnight aircraft program.
  • Track Material and Process specifications, test plans and test reports to support a team of M&P engineers
  • Track material characterization, testing and material specification development
  • Support test programs for material review board activities
  • Support low rate initial productions builds at part suppliersSupport material testing at internal and external labs
  • Monitor ongoing status and newly identified quick reaction work that needs to be completed by M&P in order to support the Midnight program
  • Work with individual project owners to clear blocks, streamline procurement and supply chain activities and onboard suppliers
  • Supporting SOWs to suppliers and test houses
  • Forecasting material needs for development and test activities and supporting the procurement of those materials

What You Need:

  • 5 years of experience across a broad range of aerospace materials and processes
  • Bachelor's Degree, M.S. preferred
  • Proven experience in forecasting program schedules, material needs and test programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written technical reports and oral presentations to technical and managerial audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering teams

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft
  • Experience supporting an aircraft through type certification
  • PMP certification or training

For this position we are targeting a base pay between we are targeting a base pay between $122,820 - $153,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
