Commercial Analyst, Malaysia

The Role

As part of the Malaysian commercial team, the Commercial Analyst, will be responsible for value-creation opportunities (e.g. price architecture, menu rationalization and range reviews). Your analytical and business-driving mindset and positive influencing skills will be necessary to communicate data-driven insights and actionable items with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial activities (menu reviews, promotions, etc) with analytics in Malaysia and communicate with the country commercial team for implementation in the restaurants.
• Being the thinking engine of the commercial team.
• Monitor the country performance and suggest corrective measures where necessary
• Support data mining projects (for example, menu and recipe re-engineering)
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards
• Be a bridge between IT and business during the rollout of new solutions
• Support new unit menu planning as required by senior management
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required by senior management

Qualification

• Bachelor degree in Business Analysis/ Data Science/ Statistics or related disciplines
• 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in FMCG and/or F&B (highly preferable), category management, trade marketing
• Strong interpersonal skills as working with people of different backgrounds and at all levels is part of the job
• Problem-solving and strong commercial awareness with a proactive attitude
• Ability to analyse data and draw actionable recommendations
• Presentation skills are required – able to use the data and insights to tell a story that enables decision making and action planning.
• Advanced Excel
• Knowledge of PowerBI and mobile ordering systems is preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English, fluency in Mandarin or Bahasa is a plus
