We have a fantastic opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience of HR Business Partnering. This role is remotely based but will be reporting out of our Dallas Offices. The Talent Acquisition Specialist & HR Business Partner will be both transactional and operational and the position will be diverse in workload. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recruitment for US Global Functions roles but will also support the wider HR community.

This exciting position calls for a dually focussed individual who can multitask and who will be an asset to our continuous improvement journey.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will create a brilliant candidate experience to attract, source, assess and hire diverse talented candidates to fulfil organisational needs and objectives. You will focus on ensuring candidates have the right skills and experience, and are the right fit for the organisation.

As a HR Business Partner, you’ll support employees through their journey with the organisation, focussing on their onboarding, orientation, performance, development, engagement and growth. You partner with identified business areas to provide guidance and support people plans. You’ll also manage HR operational activity which will include administrative and process-related actions across the employment lifecycle including managing HR records and reporting

How You'll Contribute

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with hiring managers and conduct vacancy launch calls to establish hiring criteria, agree the process to attract the very best people, and advise on robust selection methods.
  • Produce and post compelling job adverts in line with brand guidelines.
  • Deploy other attraction methodologies and conduct sourcing activities.
  • Approach passive candidates using a variety of sourcing tools and systems.
  • Conduct introduction screening calls focussing on relevance and fit for the role.
  • Create shortlists of quality candidates delivering a diverse candidate pool.
  • Communicate with candidates and hiring manager to schedule a variety of different interviews and/or selection methods, advising on assessment criteria and questions, and occasionally joining the panel to offer support.
  • Accurately and timely record candidate information, and update progress information.
  • Lead regular update calls with allocated business area to ensure alignment of vacancy activity and future requirements.
  • Build talent pools to support future recruitment activity.
  • Liaise with recruitment companies as relevant for confidential searches and hard-to-fill vacancies.
  • Support with implementing global recruitment process and key projects within the talent acquisition community.
  • Strive to find better solutions to recruitment activity to increase the quality of hire and reduce non-value activity.
  • Manage the offer process for successful candidates.

HR Business Partnering And Operations

Be a first point of contact for general enquiries and where appropriate provide guidance and response to resolve concerns, or escalate when appropriate. Support key HR processes. Typical activities may include:

  • HR Systems, Record Maintenance and Reporting
  • Onboarding, Orientation and Offboarding
  • Reward, Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Performance, and Learning and Development
  • Employee Relations and Absence Management

Other Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, and provide guidance in line with HR policies and procedures.
  • Champion employee engagement and well-being, supporting initiatives and events.
  • Schedule meetings, events and support with ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Support other employee life-cycle processes and activities.
  • Support HR communications.
  • Maintain compliance with local employment laws..

What You'll Bring

Essential

To help us make a difference, you’ll bring your passion and expertise/ talent for what you do along with the following skills, experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience of owning the recruitment journey from understanding recruitment needs through to onboarding for a range of operational, technical and leadership roles (ideally across multiple locations).
  • Confident in sourcing appropriate talent, including posting and creating job adverts, conducting initial screening and providing guidance to hiring manager on best practices for assessment and interviews.
  • Conversant with direct sourcing methods and attraction methodologies.
  • Has managed talent acquisition searches for hard-to-fill and senior positions.
  • Prioritises delivery to ensure the very best candidate and stakeholder experience throughout the recruitment journey, driving pace, efficiency and consistency.
  • Has 3+ years HR experience involving daily interaction with employees and managers.
  • Demonstrates good HR process knowledge and ability to effectively operate processes.
  • Experience of working in a complex, matrix organisation

Desirable

  • HR qualification or bachelor’s degree in business or HR or related discipline.
  • Experience in HR in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Understands high-level concepts of workforce planning and how to feed requirements into talent acquisition processes.
  • Understands how to apply a global grading structure to roles and can explain benefits and incentive plans according to the role grade.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of talent management to ensure we are attracting, retaining, and developing talented employees.
  • Can advise managers on learning and development opportunities for their people, and conduct basic training needs analysis to support individual and team needs.
  • Understands the concept of employee engagement and well-being.
  • Understands the main concepts of employee and labour relations, including current relevant local legislation, and the relationship / dynamics with local union and works council representatives.
  • Can provide advice on simple grievance & disciplinary procedures.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.

Understanding of working within a safety critical environment.
