The Role
This role involves leading the within the early project lifecycle within the Solutions Services and Support Sector to develop and implement supplychain strategies for the Sector. A successful record of accomplishment or ability to deliver solutions to complex challenges with strong communication skills, stakeholder management and commercial acumen will be required to deliver the role. This role will be working both in the Contract Delivery and Campaign/Bid space.
Typical Accountabilities
Drive and lead Procurement strategies
Effective Leadership of Procurement Sector team and Sector management team to develop a high performance culture.
Promoting customer intimacy in internal and external relationships
Work as part of the Integrated Campaign Team (ICT) to understand capabilities required and develop procurement solutions and strategies
Provide leadership with supplier and partner engagements
Ensure that the commercial/contractual position with all partners & suppliers is negotiated effectively
Develop the sector Procurement team through personal growth and recruitment
Provide Procurement Governance to the Business Winning / Campaigns area
Lead and/or co-ordinate of Life Cycle Management (LCM) deliverables e.g. Procurement Plan
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
A strategic thinker and an agent of change who can take people with them
Work at a senior level influencing business priorities and to contribute as a team player
Strong stakeholder collaboration, co-ordination and management to build sustainable relationships
The ability to design innovative supply chain solution and incentivised business and commercial models
Commercial acumen and contracting management
Experience working within the supplychain
Demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence and is aware of impact on others
Enthusiastic with a can do attitude, with a capacity to overcome barriers and make an impactful change
Requires appropriate training to degree level or equivalent or significant relevant work experience
Intrinsic Factors
The role will generally require frequent travel between Leonardo sites, suppliers and partners in the UK (Luton, Edinburgh, and Lincoln) and occasional overseas travel.
