Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Reliability, Maintainability, Prognostics, and Health Management Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This leadership opportunity is located onsite in Melbourne, FL .
The Manager will be assigned work in the Product Support organization leading a team in System Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineering and Prognostics and Health Management (PHM). The Candidate will be responsible for ensuring R&M performance and PHM program requirements are achieved.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Functional Management / Leadership Development.
- Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Customer Liaison.
- R&M allocations and predictions
- Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis
- Mission reliability analysis
- Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
- Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
- Maintainability demonstrations
- Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability
- Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress
- Screening (ESS)
- Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers
- The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significant diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
- Provide leadership guidance into engineering and analysis techniques for dependability and supportability in the lifecycle management of total systems.
- Drive quantitative performance analyses and metrics to mitigate unacceptable program risk.
- Enable continuous operational efficiency objectives are met to minimize cost and schedule.
- Ensure technical performance measure (TPM) objectives are achieved with return to green (RTG) plans, as required. Ensure SOW objectives are met across both teams.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 9 years of related engineering experience OR STEM Master's Degree with 7 years of related engineering experience.
- 2 years Reliability experience
- 2 years PHM experience
- Experience in technical leadership or management.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed in the last 6 years).
- Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR).
- MS degree in STEM discipline
- 4 years Product Support experience
- 4 years Reliability experience
- 4 years PHM experience
- Documented experience in managing people and projects.
- Strong communication skills, including experience presenting and interfacing with customers and program leadership.
- Proficient with standard Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Active Secret/Top Secret clearance
