We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer II at our West Caldwell, NJ location.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. You’ll find Crane Aerospace & Electronics in some of the toughest environments: from engines to landing gear; from satellites to medical implants and from missiles to unmanned aerial systems (UAS).

Our Microwave Systems Solutions are typically integrated into complex systems and subsystems which require precision frequency generation, conversion and management. We design and manufacture custom microwave products using frequency generation, synthesis and conversion components and assemblies from raw materials to finished products, and produce various integrated packages, including associated control and conditioning electronic assemblies.

This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and analysis of stripline and multilayer microwave circuits and components using Microwave Office software
  • Electromagnetic analysis of stripline and multilayer microwave circuits and components using HFSS software
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical specifications and journals, military and space level program flow-down documents
  • Hands-on problem-solving of physical hardware issues with an interdisciplinary team including Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.
  • Individual contribution to new quotes for multilayer RF board designs
  • Generation of design documentation and manufacturing files for multilayer RF board designs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • 2-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, with most recent experience in electrical engineering or manufacturing engineering.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
