Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage daily news reporting and analysis for the Communications team, covering GE Aerospace, competitor and industry-related stories across established earned media and social channels
- Lead the creation of the daily news report for senior leadership
- Annotate and summarize complex breaking news events in a timely manner
- Stay informed on news cycle domestically and internationally, particularly around business priorities
- Support the external communications team in preparation for leadership briefings, VIP visits, media interviews, town halls, and community events
- Track and manage regular reporting on key metrics and performance data
- Support the distribution of all external communications, including press releases
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field from an accredited university or college
- Ability to travel 10-20%
- While this is an entry level role, strong consideration will be given to candidates with relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to distill insights into crisp format at the level of detail appropriate for the audience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong relationship building and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to take initiative and complete tasks without intensive instruction
- Availability and willingness to work outside traditional business hours, as needed
