For the CEMEA region, we are seeking an energized and hands-on Efficiency and Planning manager CEMEA to lead the Planning team in the cluster. Job Summary

This is a key role within an international team with ample opportunities for development. We are seeking an experienced Efficiency and Planning manager who can elevate the Planning team to the next level, drive labour efficiency, and provide excellent operational and commercial business partnering.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage and lead the team, willingly rolling up their sleeves to handle and oversee planning and rostering tasks, conduct detailed business analysis, and spearhead business transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leading and Inspiring: Motivate and lead our planning teams across the cluster.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to enhance planning activities, optimize revenue, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor employees to maintain our high standards.
  • Act as the manager for all resource planning in operations (staff & equipment) and as the application manager for Swissport’s standard tool (“GS Planning”), with responsibility for the tool including technical trainings and roll-out.
  • Manage or support operational projects, business plans, introduction, and maintenance of new procedures and technologies, or provide related strategic consultancy.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities (safety, quality, efficiency) while applying lean management principles and providing leadership in implementing these enhancements.
  • Maintain Swissport’s Operations Manual ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISAGO, IGOM, ISO)
  • Reporting progress and achievements to the group executive management.
  • Lead workshops for employees to facilitate the achievement of OBR targets.
  • Evaluate current resource allocations and plan resources (both manpower and equipment) as part of OBRs, tenders, or due diligence activities.
  • Cargo: Develop and maintain a set of standard planning parameters as part of OBRs and collaborate with planning experts centrally or at the station level.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Commercial degree, aviation experience or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in GH and cargo planning.
  • Above-average flexibility and readiness for travelling (up to 50%).
  • Leadership experience is compulsory.
  • Presentation & moderation skills.
  • General IT know-how.
  • Fluency in English, another language advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with drive for self-improvement.
  • Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
