Procurement Manager (Non-Food) , Asia Pacific
The Role
Reports to the Property Director in Asia Pacific, the Regional Head of Projects, to manage the procurement process both at local country level and regional level. Maximize opportunities across the region with local teams to drive the implementation of new Capital Value creation initiatives & bulk purchasing opportunities, including coordinating and managing all major purchasing tenders and contracts relating to capital assets.
Responsibilities
- Perform procurement duties to Asia Pacific wide for all Non-food material items relating to F&B, OS&E, FF&E, Facilities Management, Repair & Maintenance and IT purchases
- To achieve a streamlined Procurement operation, shortened PR/PO processing path, simplified administrative work, proper tendering procedure, unified filing system
- To evaluate current suppliers’ performance, and recommend new suppliers to improve competition and product mix
- To actively source for the most appropriate products for various departments and business units within the Group, and to negotiate for the best price and supply terms, whilst maintaining continuity of supply and internal and external relations
- To ensure compliance with the Group’s Procurement Policies & Procedures and suggest improvements to Procurement Operations
- Manage forecasting and budgeting process ensuring adherence to deadlines from management
- Create approved Capital purchasing catalogues per country to govern Operations on the correct assets they can purchase under Capital requests meet the approved agreements of the property department
- Support in identifying sustainable and Carbon friendly options when developing the procurement strategy for APAC
Job Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Business related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of supply chain or procurement, ideally related to F&B establishments
- Prior experience in working with other Asia Pacific locations is advantageous
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Pivot Table
- Good proficiency in both formal and informal written communication.
- Technically competent with various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Familiar with project management software is preferably.
- Good command of written and verbal English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Willing to travel abroad if required
