The Data Science & Analytics (DS&A) team within the Finance Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (FinDABI) organization is looking for an Associate Data Analytics Analyst in the Puget Sound Region (Renton or Everett, WA) to help us build the next generation of Financial Analytics solutions for both Government and Commercial business partners. The analyst will assist the team in integrating operational and financial data to build predictive and prescriptive analytics.

The ideal candidate will


  • Have a strong technical background in data analysis, statistical modeling, or advanced data visualization
  • Demonstrate domain acumen in Business Forecasting, Financial Analysis, and/or Earned Value Management
  • Be able to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Understand the importance of collaborative coding, team coordination, and working together principles


Position Responsibilities:


  • Queries data and performs exploratory and multivariate analysis
  • Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex datasets
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners across functions.
  • Supports enterprise-wide projects to provide insight and drive efficiency in Finance


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.


  • 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Experience with data analytics and data visualization
  • Experience in statistical data analysis with statistical software
  • Experience leveraging data analytics methods to solve complex problems


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelor's degree in math, economics, and/or business-related concentration
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Shiny, PowerBI)
  • Advanced data visualization skills in R Shiny, React, or Node.js
  • Familiarity connecting to relational databases in SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, and/or Cloud
  • Strong code documentation and organization practices using VS Code, Gitlab, and Markdown


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $ 75,650 – $89,000
