The Role

Working with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners and technology teams across SSP in order to demonstrate the template solution as a recognised expert thought leader, capture any identified change requests, provide specifications to DevOps team, review and sign off defined change requests. In addition to act as the product owner of core SAP tools integrated to SSP business processes ensuring looking at new functionality and complimentary tools to enhance the template solution within SSP.


What you'll be doing


  • Own the template solution and ensure this can be explained to all levels of the organisation and be comfortable leading, coordinating workshops as part of a global SAP deployment
  • Assess and design solutions for change requests in SAP S4, produce technical specs, process documentation and support system and user testing
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in order to design, develop, deliver and support benefits delivery from effective business solutions.
  • Act as an SAP subject matter expert, providing specialist advice about system functionality. Use this knowledge to deliver excellence in operational support, project and change delivery
  • Ensure SAP issues are escalated effectively where needed whether they be related to support, change or project delivery
  • Deliver any project or change related activity as part of wider project teams as required
  • Ensure that policies, standards, procedures and guidelines are followed
  • Prepare and deliver workshops on the template solution offerings and capabilities while maintaining standardisation
  • Work with solution architects to deliver supportable, scalable and secure IT landscape


Skills and Knowledge Required


Essential

  • Mature and highly adaptable communication capabilities
  • High level of proficiency in relevant SAP modules as an end user as well as an SME
  • Experience and knowledge of key integration points with relevant modules
  • Experience of one or more of the following SAP areas – Financial Accounting and Controlling, Production planning partnered with recipes and materials management, Sales and Distribution
  • Good awareness of and practical experience of relevant business processes in restaurants, retail and hospitality
  • Experience in business analysis to gather customer requirements and turn them into actionable proposed solutions, including technical specifications.
  • Comfortable in using SAP solutions to identity what is configuration and where some developments maybe desired to help facilitate delivery of business requirements.
  • Experience in working with third-party vendors and delivering an effective SAP service using their services
  • Experience of SAP FICO, MM, PP, SD


Desirable:

  • Experience of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
  • Experience of SAP BTP solutions (DataSphere and MBC as some examples)
  • Experience of integrating SAP S4 to external solutions
  • Experience working within an SAP project delivery environment
  • Experience in global project delivery
  • Experience delivering solutions using waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Multi-lingual
