ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE
Job Description
Recommend and leads the development of studies, assessments and reports based on emerging airport electrical needs, including, but not limited to energy conservation and alternative energy sources. Develop and present study-related scope, budget and schedule documents and presentations for executives.
Provide electrical engineering expertise to consultant teams; airlines, concessionaires, airfield and terminal operations, other LAWA staff and third-party agencies for proposed and on-going facilities improvements.
Perform professional electrical engineering work in the preparation and review of airport electrical designs, plans and specifications.
Review and provide electrical engineering resolution for construction and maintenance projects. Includes, but is not limited to submittals, RFls, proposals, and technical reports for electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. May be asked to assist in review of contractor claims.
Act as project manager for planning design projects that encompass a variety of engineering disciplines. Responsible for adherence to scope, budget and schedule. Act as electrical engineering subject matter expert for the projects. Research, gather and implement the requirements of SMEs from other disciplines.
