Key Responsibilities

We’re seeking a skilled Digital Marketing Specialist (Email) to join the Cargo Marketing & E-Commerce team at United Airlines and drive our B2B digital marketing initiatives to new heights. This position will be responsible for developing our email marketing program to drive cargo revenue and for supporting the broader marketing team through content creation, lead generation, and website content development.

This is considered a hybrid role, requiring three days in office per week.

  • Create engaging and relevant content and creative for email marketing campaigns including landing pages
  • Measure, track, optimize, and report on campaign performance
  • Collaborate on product and platform strategy to increase automation, operational efficiency, and overall program effectiveness
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand the parameters of target groups and standard processes for tailoring content accordingly
  • Maintain our overall messaging platform and align editorial and graphic content and ensure ongoing consistency
  • Partner closely with corporate brand team on all communication initiatives
  • Support other creative/content development as required including web, sales collateral, videos, and sales banners

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Communications, Journalism, Web Design, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in airline or logistics industry
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs (ex: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) as well as video production and Microsoft Office programs
  • Demonstrated experience developing B2B revenue-driving email campaigns
  • Experience with marketing automation required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce and Pardot)
  • Proven experience in email marketing strategy, execution, and optimization
  • Strong understanding of email deliverability, list management, segmentation, and A/B testing
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Ability to understand email performance metrics and analyze data
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Ability to project manage, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and be flexible
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop and deliver executive presentations
