CHC Helicopter is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager HR with Labour Relations experience. Reporting directly to the Vice President of HR and Regional Director APAC, this position will work in collaboration with the Australian management team in delivering Industrial and Employee relations within the region.

  • Deliver strategic and tactical Australian labour relations matters.
  • Competent in Industrial Relations which includes negotiation dealings and enterprise bargaining negotiations.
  • Highly experienced stakeholder engagement with CHC leaders, external regulators, employee groups and trade unions.
  • Competent in interpreting HR policies and employment legislation and advice on risk management.
  • Able to challenge decisions to support the best interest of the organisation.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, promoting positive change in people management and overall performance improvement.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, talent development and succession planning.
  • Experience in coaching managers in all aspects of people management.
  • Drive positive and inclusive employee engagement at all levels of the organisation.
  • The role may require travel nationally to respective base locations and with short notice.
  • May be required to provide other tasks to influence and support the business HR function.
  • Maintaining a forward thinking and big picture approach on organisational, industry and geographic matters.
  • Degree qualified in human resources or related field with a minimum of 5 years Labour Relations experience.
  • Current working knowledge of Enterprise bargaining, grievances and disputes handling.
  • Competent in human resource disciplines including organizational diagnosis and design, talent development, succession planning, performance management and respective employment laws.
  • Innovative, agile, resourceful and pragmatic with a positive ‘can do’ and solution-focused attitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills that continuously support business change and growth.
  • Business and commercially driven to drive business success
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • A key motivator and team player who is inclusive, engaging and collaborative.
  • Flexible and adaptable in supporting a dynamic global matrix environment.
  • Relevant industry experience is ideal but not essential.
