The app is the now at the centre TUI’s digital distribution strategy, consistently growing at over 50% each year with an objective to become the largest digital distribution channel across TUI’s core source markets, as well as facilitating low-barrier entry to new and emerging markets. The app is not only our highest converting digital sales channel but also a critical touchpoint for manage customers’ holidays and delivering TUI’s superior customer service. We have ambitious plans to grow the app to deliver over €5bn in sales annually, doubling down on our native search and book experiences for package holidays and growing rapidly in wider growth product categories such as flight and hotel only sales, as well as experiences and activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial and creative professional to build their career within the fastest growing part of the business. You will be working closely with the Senior Merchandising Executive and report to the Senior Commercial Manager.

About The Role

IMPROVE ENGAGEMENT TOWARDS TARGET SALES SHARE

  • Work with various Stakeholders across our markets to create and maintain complex in-app merchandising content that is highly relevant, personalised, and dynamic, to generate interest targeted towards commercial priorities. Employ optimal blend of commercial priority with creative and customer focus.


EMBED TEST& LEARN APPROACH AND DRIVE BEST PRACTICE IN MARKETS ACROSS EUROPE

  • Influence local Merchandising, content, and design teams to ensure that key trading messages are always supported and appropriately promoted across the apps. Maximise performance through executing an AB testing strategy, getting data-based insight.


RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS KPI GROWTH AND INSIGHT

  • Assess the key drivers of Merchandising and upselling performance, identify trends, and recommend data-informed actions to manage performance against target. Responsible for timely reporting of Merchandising and Landing page performance with actionable insights.


ENHANCE APP MERCHANDISING CAPABILITY, DESIGN & PERSONALISATION

  • Understand TUI’s customer segments and use customer insight to champion enhancements to app merchandising features & UX, working with App Product owners. Contribute to and execute a clear strategy for TUI’s goal of industry leading, personalised, and omni-channel App experience, leveraging behavioural insight and data science.


Enhance Landing Page Experience

  • Create and maintain Landing pages in the App for key campaigns and traffic switching from mobile Web to App. Measure success of Landing pages and advise CRM and Web teams on best practices.


About You

  • Strong commercial acumen, target driven with a passion for implementing data driven ideas to maximise growth. Demonstrable ability to digest and analyse performance and link this with the business strategy.
  • Great communications skills, able to translate data into easy-to-understand insight, and clearly communicate performance to stakeholders at all levels of seniority through various means.
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to develop trusted working relationships.
  • Ideally experience in creating merchandising content in a way that provides an engaging experience that drives sales growth, balancing commercial priority with a creative, customer focused eye.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable to manipulate spreadsheets with formulae and build presentations that condense data into easy-to-understand insights and recommendations.
  • Inclusive collaborative working style, able to work independently but also successfully with colleagues and partners from around the business with a range of roles, skills and seniorities.
  • Great understanding of relevant digital technologies, with the ability to harness their potential to enhance the customer journey and drive business value
  • Comfortable working in a multi-geography, multi-cultural environment.
