What does the role look like?

We're recruiting a Finance Business Partner for our NASCOM value stream. In this role you will play an integral role to business by partnering the value stream, adding value & providing governance.

You will actively provide insight into our finance performance & work with the business to identify & eliminate risks. Furthermore you will work collaborate to identify better ways of working & growth opportunities.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

  • Value-Added Business Partnering
  • Provide the insight into financial performance, including variance to Plan and latest estimate
  • Work collectively to identify growth opportunities and actions to mitigate known risks
  • Business support for Programme and Commercial teams
  • Owner of product profitability information integrity, and lead for Product profitability tracking, including functional costs reviews
  • Evaluation and understanding of performance drivers and explain the link to financial performance
  • Inventory management and cash collection tracking
  • Finance lead on commercial bids and all business decisions
  • Review all provisions and communicate where additional provisions may be necessary
  • Capex cost/benefit analysis and contact for investment support
  • Operate corporate IT systems to support financial performance tracking and monthly closing

Financial Reporting

  • Monthly programme profitability and daily update of known risks and opportunities including variance explanation to latest estimate and Plan
  • Daily tracking of financial sale / gross margin performance
  • Review across all value-streams and consolidation of all value streams across the total site
  • Leading and coordinating the accurate monthly reporting of the value stream performance in SAP
  • Work with the FP&A team to set Standard costs, Production costs and absorption rates
  • Reporting of monthly results, providing supporting analyses and other routine reporting to senior leadership
  • Interpret and articulate trends, provide management information and data to support business insight and actions going
  • Response to ad-hoc reporting requests and queries
  • Development of processes and promote a culture of process excellence

Financial Planning

  • Business partner with the Nacelles and Composites management teams
  • Develop processes and templates to allow effective business planning
  • Operate and coordinate standardised cadence, structure and formats for value stream performance tracking, latest estimate and monthly actuals reporting
  • Prepare monthly forecast, annual Plan, Strategic plans ensuring alignment in the business and associated supporting analyses with rigour and challenge

Internal Control Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to internal financial control policies and procedures consistent with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, international accounting standards and all applicable international legal and statutory requirements are in place. Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures and financial reporting timetables.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Customer Focus - Pursues the best customer-focused responses that add value to the business
  • An operational/commercial bias, with good understanding of business cases
  • Adaptability - Readily responds to changes in business requirements or scope of responsibilities

Desirable skills:

  • Previous experience in Engineering or Manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Analytical Thinking - Applies root cause techniques when faced with problems and uses the knowledge gained to mistake proof the process.
  • Proven change agent
  • Listening - Works to develop "win-win" agreements with co-workers and stakeholders.
  • Communication - Communicates clear understanding of one's subject matter and offers informed positions.
  • Knowledge of UK, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley legislation
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the determination to succeed
  • Ability to present confidently in front of senior management
  • Good Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Effective decision maker and financial business partner
  • Ability to influence and motivate management and financial colleagues.
