The Human Resources Partner (HRP) will have responsibility for the execution of HR processes and activities to support designated customer groups within the Aerostructures organization . The HRP will collaborate with the business as an advisor and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness, change and talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, DE&I and total rewards. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and COEs, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, employee relations and talent development.

This position will be worked on-site in Chula Vista, CA. One day a week remote on Fridays pending business needs. Relocation assistance is available.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Champions employee advocacy and serves as a trusted advisor to front, mid-level leaders, senior leaders, and employees
  • Culture Steward for driving a culture of Diversity and Inclusion
  • Designs & implements human resources strategies focused on increasing employee engagement, retention, talent health, and implementing plans for DE&I activities.
  • Seeks, creates, and leverages analytics to ensure that Collins and Advanced Structures goals are met.
  • Partner with leaders to implement and raise awareness about HR programs which support the business goals and produce results in a complex matrix environment.
  • Collaborate with the broader HR network (i.e. Employee & Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management) to develop and deploy strategies that address site needs.
  • Effectively lead and execute Human Resources processes including performance management, salary planning, talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, and leadership development.
  • Implement strategic short and long-term HR initiatives, in partnership with the senior HR and local leadership, to drive business results; quantify business results via metrics review.
  • Leverage process improvement/lean manufacturing tools and methodology to align with business needs; seek new innovative ways to automate and streamline HR processes.
  • Implement employee programs designed to promote our One Collins culture, optimize organizational effectiveness, and increase employee engagement.
  • Lead and support special projects as assigned.

Influential Leadership: As a Human Resource Partner, you need to meet the overall objectives of the company by influencing, working through, and motivating others to complete the tasks.

Collaboration: As a Human Resource Partner, you will have to work with and across various functions and programs to reach your objectives. You will have to be able to collaborate with a diverse group of thought partners and various parts of the HR organization to complete tasks.

Change management & communications: As a Human Resource Partner, having the ability to coach leaders facilitate discussions around change and transformation is key.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position
  • Prior Human Resource and/or HR Business Partner experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position will be located in Chula Vista, CA; candidate must be local to the site or be willing to relocate
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certifications
  • CA Labor Law knowledge
  • Experience working in matrixed organization
  • Experience in project management and continuous improvement
  • Experience coaching and developing senior leaders
  • Ability to build relationships and influence

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
