Senior Fleet Delivery Officer- Luton- Hybrid

The Fleet Delivery team sits within the Fleet Operations team and part of the wider Operations Strategy and Planning team responsible for managing the tail assignment process. The wider Operational Planning teams work together to develop the schedule and flying programme in a way that is safe, cost-efficient, and resilient, and ensure that all operational teams’ needs are met in terms of schedule feasibility, in both the long-term and short-term windows, and reviewed in the post-operational window feeding back as learnings into future operations.
Job Purpose
This role is the primary point of contact for the operational plan and flying programme, bringing in the requirements from the company as a whole, primarily Commercial (both in Revenue and Network terms), Customer (both in Customer Service and Customer Relationship terms), Sales (Corporate and Holiday), Public Relations, Investor Relations and Legal & Procurement, as well as all Operational teams.
The key output of the Fleet Delivery team is the delivery of the daily flying programme to NC (Network Control have ownership for the day of operation plus day 2 and day 3) which must remain safe, legal and robust whilst taking into account all possible requirements and inputs. Fleet Delivery are also the key disseminator and communicator of disruption plans to the business, acting as the catalyst for notifications to passengers, crew and suppliers
What you'll be doing
The primary responsibility of the Fleet Delivery team leader is to oversee and prioritise tasks within the team. This includes assigning scheduled flights to specific aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the balance between maintenance and operations, and coordinating commercial requirements to optimise revenue.
Additionally, they plan and coordinate legal activities such as aircraft deliveries and lease transfers, and handle any pre-notified disruptions while adhering to company policies. They report and address any risks to customers, operations, or reputation, and support investigations for safety and compliance improvement. Overall, they ensure safe and responsible conduct while performing ad hoc tasks as needed
Applicants should have a minimum of one year's experience in a pre-operations or Fleet Delivery department, or similar role. They must possess commercial awareness and strong communication skills. The ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment is essential, alongside excellent interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to solve problems and approach challenges with resilience. Experience in process improvement is also desirable
