Head of Legal

THE HEAD OF LEGAL WILL:

• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to senior management on a broad range of legal issues, including contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, and policies, including aircraft wet leases, charter service agreements, IATA SGHA’s, and collaborative partnerships.
• Skillfully negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring best outcomes for the company.
• Stay informed of relevant aviation laws, regulations, and industry developments at the national and international levels to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and with external legal counsel when required, representing the best company's interests.
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to promote legal compliance and provide legal counsel on policy matters, offering insight into industry trends and best practices.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and problem-solving.
• Contribute to the preparation of thoroughly crafted legal documents for board meetings and other corporate affairs.

YOU ARE WELCOMED TO APPLY IF YOU HAVE:

• Higher education law degree Common Law and/or Continental law.
• English law degree (Common Law would be considered as an advantage).
• Experience in aviation or transport industry (would be considered as an advantage).
• Experience of minimum 5 years.
• Fluency in English language (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of the provisions and principles of labor relations and Code of Civil Procedure.
• Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas.
• Solid ethics and morals and sound judgement.
