Tasks

Within CAMO Safety you will work in a stimulating environment and will play a key role in supporting the CAMO Safety Management functions in identifying hazards, investigating occurrences and developing measures to mitigate risks.

  • Conduct safety and compliance investigations within the CAMO, to identify hazards, root causes of occurrences and develop recommendations.
  • Analyse data from reports and investigations and provide reports to management meetings.
  • Collaborate with Flight Safety Investigation and Technics Quality & Safety Assurance team in performance of overarching investigations.
  • Monitor existing SPIs and develop new ones.
  • Conduct and facilitate CAMO-related Risk Assessments.
  • Administer mitigations and monitor implementation and effectiveness.
  • Liaise with LH Group on safety-related projects and sharing of best practices.
  • Foster safety culture and risk-based decision making in line with the organisation’s safety objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement of the CAMO Safety Management System.

Requirements

We are looking for an open and reliable person, with great curiosity and ability to form connections. The ideal candidate can work with accuracy, attention to detail and is able to apply critical thinking when processing a large amount of information.

  • Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or HF-Degree in aviation industry combined with professional experience or equivalent technical background in aviation.
  • Experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management.
  • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, industry best practices and investigation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety management.
  • Experience in conducting investigations is of advantage.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Just Culture principles.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, loyalty.
  • Very good spoken and written English skills. German is of advantage.
