In the role of System Administrator 3, you have the roles to advise, assist, inform, train and alert as related to IT systems in their scope and manage directly all or a part of a project which is in their expertise of Systems and Storage. The System & Storage Build Specialist is involved on the architecture evolution and on the technical qualification of platforms or components.


Administration

 Responsible for the optimal functioning of system and storage components

 Implements the tools guaranteeing the coherence of the infrastructures;

 Has global vision of information systems and good knowledge of the company processes;

 Develops rules for using the necessary tools, in accordance with company standards;

 Documents, promotes and monitors their applications;

 Manages and maintains the technical infrastructures, (Servers, Virtualization, Storage, Backup, etc.)

 Manages operations on system and storage major incidents;

 Monitors resources (Servers, Virtualization, storage, backup, etc..).


Installation and Testing

 Installs the active part of the connections (ESX, servers, storages) and system software;

 Respects the installation, connection ... procedures for hardware and software;

 Controls / installs the updates;

 Performs tests of system and storage equipments.


Monitoring

 Understand the impacts on production;

 Ensure the operability of proposed solutions and the associated organization;

 Control of project security constraints.


Technical Referent

 Define roadmap for infrastructure developments (new hardware, software version, sourcing strategy);

 Define the roadmap of changes in the services offered to businesses and internal customers;

 Identify new services and new features to be added to the service catalog;

 Define maintenance projects in operational condition (adding capacity, upgrading, etc.).

Job Requirements

Safran Electrical & Power looks for service-oriented team players with strong interpersonal skills, the right attitude and adaptability to an innovative and evolving environment.


Education and/or Experience

 Bachelor's Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.

 Requires 5 years of VMware, Storage and Windows Server experience.

 Prefers VMware, NetApp and EMC certifications.

 Prefers 5 years in server hardware maintenance and support.


Knowledge/Skills

 Data Storage Solutions knowledge and administration – Expert (NetApp, EMC – preferred)

 Server/Storage hardware familiarity – Advanced (Dell, HP, EMC, NetApp hardware – preferred)

 Windows Server Concepts and knowledge – Advanced

 VMware Administration – Advanced

o High proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms. In general, they must be adept at network engineering, with working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems

 Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization – Advanced

 Demonstrate IT Engineering and Architecture skills

 General Systems Administration – Expert

 Excellent verbal and written communication skils – Advanced (English)

 Good knowledge of the ITIL Process (Service, Risk, Security, and Governance management)


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

 VMware VCA, VCP – preferred

 NetApp NCSA, NCDA, NCSE – preferred

 EMC Data Storage Systems Administration Specialist/Expert – preferred

 Citrix CCP-V, CCA-V – preferred
