Role Purpose

The role is responsible for executing strategies and driving all activities for the cargo operations. Furthermore, the role is responsible for ensuring compliance as per global best practices stipulated by client and other local/international regulatory authorities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and direct import/export operations and ensure timely completion of all documentation.
• Responsible to update information relating to special and general cargo for processing and ensure compliance for special handling needs as per procedures/SLA.
• Develop and embed a safety culture in all activities and ensure delivery of timely & quality customer service as per service level agreement (SLA).
• Analyse irregularities and ensure comprehensive & appropriate resolution for complaints received from consignees, shippers, freight forwarders, airlines and truck operators.
• Plan and ensure compliance with due procedures for all operational areas including collection of dues, auditing of daily cash & credit returns and duly report on charges waived/not collected.
• Ensure safety & security standards and compliance for all processes to reduce the number of incidents/accidents. Also, analyse accidents/incidents and ensure proper implementation of damaged /lost cargo procedures.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferable
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cargo operations in a management role
• Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making.
• Leadership as well as team-building skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and local language as indicated.
• Knowledge of Air Cargo Operations regulations, Cargo Ground Handling Computer Systems, local required regulations
• Expertise in Air Cargo laws and regulations
• Required Training (Basic/Advanced Cargo, DGR Training, Proration Training)
