Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Strategic Operations Research Analyst intern to join a dynamic, high-performing team. The selected candidate will use systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making processes. This position will require frequent collaboration with team members and engineers in other disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, this candidate will participate in analysis to support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to help shape and influence future capabilities of the warfighter. These impactful studies quantify the effects of payloads, weapons and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.
Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To
Participating in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
Applying engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking
Researching and learning military systems, military operations, and military tactics
Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
Analyzing simulation results using data analytics to help draw meaningful conclusions
Participating in trade studies and performing statistical analysis
Participating in research efforts and learning analytical techniques with research methodologies.
Applying decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs

Basic Qualifications
Problem solving skills with an eagerness to learn
Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
Knowledge of data analytics or data science
Currently enrolled in a STEM Degree
Desired Skills
Classroom experience in computer-based analytical tools, modeling, simulation, or software development experience (C++, Git)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
