The Role


Joining the Customer Solutions team, the Engineer will be in charge of operating, maintaining and disposing solutions to the business aligned with the DigiPOS design, and should deploy, supervise, maintain, and help on the deployment of the new POS Solution.

Additionally, you will Assist 1st and 2nd level support on the incidents in relation to the countries where the new POS Solution and Programme has been deployed.

Will design and conduct a secure, robust, and sustainable POS system, providing a Global solution aligned with the SSP Group needs and ensuring compliance with the PCI/DSS and GDPR regulations.

This role requires availability for regular local and international travel.


Main duties

  • Ensure Information Technology (IT) systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with the DigiPOS Programme and Group Rules.
  • Standardize system configuration, aligned with SSP Group needs, robust, maintainable, and properly documented.
  • Maintain System Security Plans and Data Protection Planning where needed,
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the SSPs like PCI/DSS and GPDR, including Programme design.
  • Be able to train to transmit enough knowledge to assist the business and Programme deployment.
  • Will conduct information system audits as required, provide a country/site checklist to avoid any lack of configuration.
  • Provide direct support to regional or local implementation team.
  • Assist the Development team over reports in relation with the POS or any downstream system.
  • Design and proposal a future improvement over the Point of Sales system solution and Program needs.


Skills and knowledge


Essential


  • Must have a broad understanding of Information Technology (IT) operating systems, hardware, and software tools.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to follow-up and solve problems.
  • Position requires local and overnight travel.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Understanding of complex information and requirements
  • Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans.
  • Great IT skills combined with a good head for business.
  • Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms.
  • Have a cool, calm manner when dealing with stressful environments possibly involving multiple sources.
  • Critical thinking skills who can quickly observe situation and make the appropriate response.
  • Ability to quickly problem solves & assists other teams with problem solving any support tickets that are sent to your team.
  • Ability to train others (IT and non-IT employees) into a change that they might not be comfortable with or understand, making sure they understand what is happening, why it’s happening & how it’ll benefit them.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 products
  • Capacity to drive change to business practices by working effectively with all levels of stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.
