The Role:


We are looking for Project Engineer Manager (PEM) that will be responsible for all the System Engineering and Engineering activities undertaken within the Integrated Project Team (IPT); she/he ensures that the Project Engineering Team delivers the technical solution compliant with the customer's requirements within given costs and schedule.


Main responsibilities are:

  • Formulate user requirements as starting point for system design;
  • Interact with the Clients to interpret their needs and requirements;
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects;
  • Prepare and maintain a System Engineering Management Plan;
  • Monitor Engineering progress and set milestones and deadlines;
  • Create, with the support of the Technical Leaders, the Technical Purchase Specs for sub-supliers;
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, customer requirements, performance standards and specifications;
  • Review and verify engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions;
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status;
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team;
  • Coordinate on-site commissioning activities, with the main aim of ensuring compliance with project requirements, for example, non-exhaustive:
  • Coordinates on-site test activities, internal and with the customer, with the support of the Test Manager
  • Supervise the remaining project closure activities (open points) ensuring that the individual points are addressed and completed.


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
  • Expert: 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Baggage Handling System for Airports or equivalent conveyor-based industries (i.e. manufacturing, automotive, …).
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities;
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and industry standards;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and timelines.


Language skills:

  • Italian language skills are a plus.


Other:

  • Drivers licence
  • Availability to travel30-50 % of the time per year
  • Must be able to work in U.S.
  • Availability to work Hybrid (from home and in office at the Braniff Centre in Dallas - Love Fld)
