Position Summary

The Brand Advertising Specialist supports the Marketing Communications Team and reports to the Brand Advertising Manager. The Specialist will assist in strategic development, production, and execution of marketing initiatives across brand marketing initiatives and Organic social media. The Specialist will support marketing activities through research, strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, and independently managing administrative processes and tasks. The Brand Advertising Specialist is a member of the Marketing Communications team dedicated to supporting the consumer-facing communications for the Brand and within key focus cities and ensuring their success within our network. The Specialist is a self-starter who is excited by finding creative solutions and enjoys interacting and building relationships daily with people at different levels within the organization. The Specialist can work on various tasks, change priorities as new demands arise despite a high-pressure environment, and is a creative individual whose personal values match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally to support large campaigns and key partner initiatives surrounding our Product and Network
  • Guide proactive research into how JetBlue can optimize communications for a younger Gen Z audience
  • Act as day-to-day support on key initiatives across greater marketing organization, as needed
  • Administrative duties related to Advertising, Brand and Organic Social Media initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned


Minimum Experience And Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen, results-oriented, forward-thinking juniors, graduate or PhD students currently enrolled in an accredited university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024 or May 2025
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship


Preferred Experience And Qualifications

  • Undergraduate coursework in Marketing, Business, Economics, Public Relations, or related discipline
  • Knowledge of Marketing practices and Airline industry
  • Strong creative, strategic and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, amicable and professional demeanor
  • Self-starter who is eager to participate and contribute
  • Knowledgeable about the airline industry


Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun

Work Environment:

  • Traditional office environment
  • Promotional events – on location and outside of business hours.


Physical Effort:

  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light)


Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $20.00 and $30.00 per hour depending on the degree level. Specialists will also have access to free space available travel on JetBlue during the internship duration.
