Global Airports Manager - Service Planning and Value
Role Introduction
Reports To: Head of Global Airports
This position will manage budgets and service levels on suppliers for all airports globally. The job holder will ensure the annual airport budget is managed and the resource requirements across the network are optimal. He/ She will oversee supplier performance and identify cost improvement initiatives to drive value to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operation. The job holder should possess strong analytical skills and a financial background for providing objective and helpful analyses to the business. He/ She should also have a customer mindset, a good understanding of airport operations and strong influencing skills as he/ She will serve as an integration point for a large number of stakeholders and will handle far reaching implications of decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring the overall Ground Handling Agreement of suppliers (above / below the wing).
- Establish our service requirements with outport Airport Operations Managers (AOMs) and ensure the appropriate service requirements are documented in the final ground handling contracts.
- Ensure the best interest of the company is being met and select suppliers that offer the best value for money to the company.
- Manage suppliers on their operational and management performance through the Airport Performance Record Card and Supplier Performance Assessment. Drive the suppliers to initiate improvements and changes to improve the performance and liaison with AOMs.
- Prepare annual budgets for airport operations (Outport and Hong Kong International Airport). Track and report spending at headquarter (HQ) and airports.
- Identify the optimum resource requirements for Cathay Pacific airport teams at outports in terms of suppliers.
- Negotiate and align outport resource management based on GAMS’s guidelines.
- Provide input and guiderails on OPEX to Customer Service Delivery Manager in conjunction to overall budgets.
- Identify cost improvement initiatives and projects to drive OPEX downwards.
- Establish and monitor the whole budget process. Compile executive budget summary that observes corporate goals in achieving continuous improvement.
- Assess capital expenditure cases submitted by outports to the ECC. Provide comments, recommendations and queries to ports before submission.
- Deputise Head of Global Airports
- University graduate, preferably in the area of Business or Finance.
- Minimum 4 years in a position to acquire both in-depth and board levels of managerial skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong financial background.
- Excellent understanding of airport operations.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong problem solving.
- Clear expression and presentation in communication.
- Make timely decision.
