Summary of the Role

The Training Manager holds responsibility for conducting training activities tailored to their assigned customers, training programs, aircraft types, and/or locations within the specific branch. It is their duty to ensure that all training complies with ATO approval and upholds the highest standards of safety and training quality.

The Training Manager oversees the delivery of instructional activities, ensuring adherence to contracted training protocols and regulatory requirements. They lead the instructor team, fostering standardization among instructors, and may serve as an SFI/SFE to provide synthetic flight instruction as needed. Additionally, they manage their assigned program to optimize client throughput and revenue.


Key responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to approved Operations and Training Manuals, SOPs, and syllabi during training sessions.
  • Support the Manager of Training Services in daily operations.
  • Manage projects related to training services.
  • Address training and performance issues as they arise.
  • Implement and uphold flight training standards.
  • Track and assess client progress throughout training.
  • Collaborate with Sales/Customer Services/Scheduling departments to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Conduct flight/sim instruction or examinations when required.
  • Report any training, safety, or compliance issues to relevant authorities.
  • Provide feedback on ATO courseware and manuals for necessary revisions.

  • Computer skills & knowledge of Internet applications: proficient in MS/Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Results oriented with an ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including public holidays and weekends
  • Extensive aeronautical and aviation training experience
  • Scope to deal with complex problems unsupervised, Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction
  • Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment, accepts changes and adjusts accordingly
  • Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances


Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Should hold or have held an ICAO license and Instructor Qualification.
  • Hold or have held a professional Pilot License, Hold valid SFI or TRI
  • Has knowledge of EASA regulation
  • Previous management experience in aviation training desirable
